Responsibilities:
- Responsible for purchasing raw materials, colorants, packaging materials, and assembly components to support production requirements.
- Ensures timely material availability by managing supplier: relationships, monitoring inventory levels, reviewing customer forecasts, and coordinating purchase orders.
- Serves as the primary contact with suppliers for pricing, lead times, deliveries, and material documentation, including Certificates of Compliance (COC), Certificates of Analysis (COA, RoHS, REACH, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and other required certifications.
- Works closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Accounting to support efficient manufacturing operations.
- Purchase raw materials, colorants, packaging materials, and assembly components.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate material supply.
- Review customer forecasts and coordinate material requirements.
- Issue and expedite purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department regarding material documentation and supplier changes.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience purchasing injection molding resins or manufacturing materials preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)-
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- 1st shift but candidate must be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift if needed.
