Responsibilities:
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and vehicles, following safety guidelines including Workshop Safety, Hot Work, and Agricultural Operations Safety as outlined by clients Safety Program.
- Perform inspections on all components of tractors, agricultural equipment, machinery, and vehicles to ensure they are safe to operate.
- Identify and report any unsafe conditions or necessary repairs to the direct supervisor promptly.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on tractors and agricultural equipment (e.g., greasing, tire pressure checks, oil and fluid level verifications) according to manufacturer manuals and Corteva's safety procedures.
- Repair and maintain machinery using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing devices.
- Engage in mechanical work involving pipefitting, millwright, and boilermaker tasks as required.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with Client's safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanics or a related field required.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license when required by the role (mandatory employment condition).
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Strong written skills for daily reporting of safety inspections, repair logs, and maintenance records.
- Effective verbal communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical tools, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
