Responsibilities:
- Assists the Molding Department in tasks such as repair and general maintenance of equipment
- Responsible to maintain the Molding operation process in control to assure the performance of the plant.
- Responsible to set up the molds and process start up in the production area.
- Clean molds and machines.
- Trouble shoot molding processes.
- Maintain GMP, OSHA practices and QA standards in the production area.
- Fill out necessary documentation to comply with specifications and SOP'S.
- Assure that the mold is running with the master cycle parameters.
- Responsible to maintain production standards and goals set by management.
- Perform preventive maintenance works according to established standards and fill out preventive maintenance reports.
- Follow hazardous waste disposal rules.
- Perform minor" repairs when machine or peripheral equipment indicates failure.
- Responsible for production, equipment and tools.
- Put into operation a production process, with proper chutes to assure clean molding
where applicable. - Evaluate and design necessary equipment to implement the equipment needed to attain a
clean molding status or to assure the molded components fall into the chute upon ejection from
the mold. - Perform other duties such as Product Inspection, Labeling, Test Documentation and Packing.
- Manually document (ex: checker chart) and/or electronically (ex: POMs) the required
information to comply applicable procedures and specifications. - Responsible for conducting EHS inspections to identify and correct safety hazards and environmental aspects.
- Follow the EHS applicable procedures, and analyze EHS incidents (including near misses) to find causes and take corrective actions
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Electronic or Industrial Mechanics.
- Three years' experience in electronic, mechanics, hydraulic or pneumatic.
- Two years experience in Injection Molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Certificate as Operator I -( Production Operator 11)
- Knowledge in temperature controllers and peripheral equipment.
- Capable to read and understand a blueprint.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Available for 12 hours AM shift
